FOX Sports Network (FSN) to Broadcast U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball

CINCINNATI (Sept. 2, 2011) --- The Elevation Group and Reach USA announced today that FOX Sports Network (FSN) will broadcast the U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball which begins with the qualifying rounds at Hahana Beach in Cincinnati on Thursday, Sept. 1.

“This partnership speaks volumes for the sport of beach volleyball and its popularity,” said Steve Lindecke, managing partner for the Elevation Group which launched the U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball in 2007. “Having this championship tournament take place on a national stage is an incredible opportunity for the tournament, the players and the sport.”

The 2011 U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball is the fifth anniversary of the tournament. The tournament is scheduled to broadcast Sunday, Sept. 11 on FSN regional sports networks and their affiliates, nationally scheduled to air at 6 p.m. local time (all markets). In addition to competition, a variety of events and entertainment activities are taking place in conjunction with the tournament. Olympic Gold Medalists Karch Kiraly and Todd Rogers will conduct a free youth clinic on Saturday courtesy of Dick’s Sporting Goods and Spalding. Corona Light is presenting Kelley James in concert at approximately 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday. In between the men’s and women’s championship matches on Sunday afternoon, an Oakley apparel and eyewear fashion show will take place with styling provided by Paul Mitchell.

The U.S. Open of Beach Volleyball launched in 2007 as a collaborative effort between volleyball legend Karch Kiraly and The Elevation Group, and is joined in 2011 by ReachUSA.
