CLEVELAND (August 25, 2015) – Cathedral Concerts, recognized by the Cleveland Plain Dealer as “one of the most unusual (and diverse) endeavors to hit the city in some time,” is back this fall at the gorgeous Trinity Cathedral.
The concert series, exclusive to Cleveland, announced today that Grammy Award winner Colin Hay will perform at Trinity Cathedral on Thursday night, October 29 at 8:00 p.m.
Hay is best known as the frontman and lead vocalist for the iconic band, Men At Work.The Scottish/Australian artist achieved international success in the early 1980s with a string of Top-40 singles, two #1 songs and a pair of albums (Business as Usual and Cargo) that are two of the best-selling records of all-time.
Hay is justifiably proud of his place in pop history, but since moving to Los Angeles in 1989, he’s made 11 critically-acclaimed solo albums, including the highly successful Man at Work, and his most recent release, 2015’s Next Year People on Compass Records.
As Hay has reinvented himself as a solo artist over the past 15 years, including the frequent use of his music in TV and film featuring the hit shows Scrubs (on which he has made several cameo appearances), Modern Family and Army Wives, the hit soundtrack to the film Garden State and the recently released Words and Picture, introducing himself to a whole new generation of fans. Hay continues to prove the timeless appeal of his songs.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, August 28, at 10 a.m. ET. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the concert is set to begin at 8 p.m. An opening act will be announced at a later date.
